The ESPORG Conference 2025, held on March 5 at the Albert Borschette Conference Center in Brussels, showcased the outcomes of the new SSPA study. This event brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders for a pivotal discussion on the future of SSPAs across Europe, serving as a platform for collaboration, dialogue, and innovation in the transportation and logistics sector.
The study’s findings were presented by Rob de Leeuw Van Weenen from PANTEIA on behalf of the consortium behind the study (including TIS and ESPORG) and Filip Alexandru Negreanu-Arboreanu (Deputy Head of Unit of Road Transport Policy, DG MOVE).
The event featured a keynote message from Commissioner Tzitzikostas and contributions from DG MOVE representatives, such as Jean-Louis Colson (Head of Unit C1 DG MOVE) and MEP Kosma Złotowski.
During the event, discussions covered security risks, industry challenges, and policy solutions, with expert panels and stakeholder engagement shaping the future of secure truck parking in Europe.
