The Jabbeke workshop was held on February 6, 2024, alongside the inauguration of the Jabbeke North and South secure parking areas. Participants included government officials, industry leaders, transport operators, and security experts from organizations like DG MOVE, CINEA, IRU, and the UK government. Discussions highlighted the urgent need for real-time parking data, improved driver wellbeing initiatives, and enhanced security measures to combat organized crime and illegal migration. The workshop also emphasized the importance of expanding secure parking spaces and investing in sustainability solutions like megawatt charging and MacScanners for cargo checks.
